We visited La Trattoria for our wedding anniversary dinner. I think it may be my new favourite Italian restaurant in Northampton (and I’ve been to a lot!). This authentic Italian restaurant has a cosy atmosphere, the staff immediately greet you as soon as you enter the door. Both members of staff were very friendly and attentive. Topping up glasses, when low. The quality of the ingredients is exceptional and the portion sizes are generous. It’s quite unusual to have a restaurant which makes much of its dishes in their own kitchen. The handmade pasta was delicious and leaves you wanting a few more mouthfuls after it’s done! I would highly recommend people check this place out and it maybe it’ll also become your favourite Italian too.

The most authentic Italian cuisine I've had outside of Italy. The pasta was properly al dente, not over cooked like you always get here. Cooked to perfection in a immaculately decorated little restaurant. Server was one of the most attentive I've ever had

Best authentic Italian food in town! We visited on a Sunday afternoon and had the 3 course menu. Every single dish was to die for - everything was made from scratch, so much flavour and the perfect portion sizes. The rigatoni carbonara was particularly sensational and my husband was a huge fan of the meatballs. The chef is so talented. Not the mention, the restaurant itself is lovely, nice atmosphere and the staff were so attentive. Will 100% return!

A gem in the heart of Northampton, what a find! We had an amazing dinner here, it was authentic Italian food, with excellent service. It’s not often you find ‘proper’ food here, I would highly recommend. Thank you La Trattoria, we will be back!

This is an absolute hidden gem in Northampton! We had a brilliant experience dining on a Saturday night - the staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant has a lovely cosy/chilled atmosphere. We shared 2x antipasti between 2 of us, then a pasta dish each which was perfect, but we decided when we come again we might skip starters and share multiple pasta dishes between us (or just have it all anyway and live with the food coma). It's a lovely small menu of homemade pasta but they all sounded so good and came in manageable portions so you could definitely mix/match/share a lot. Great wine selection and they also make a few homemade liqueurs (we opted for the chocolate one in place of dessert). Overall a fantastic spot which I would highly recommend!

I came here a year ago randomly stumbling in while jet lagged and it made such an impression on me that I had to come back with the wife. Food is amazing, the staff is so nice and recommended the best wine and dinner options. Will definitely be coming back!
